ENGA.swiss X BFH School of Architecture, Wood, Civil Engineering have completed a project with the students on BFH Master Wood Technology programme to develop new materials.
The objective of this material development project was the integration of organic fibers from forest and agricultural by-products into a polymer blend based on consumer plastic waste, to improve the material properties for 3Dprinting.
Under the guidance of Gildas Höllmüller (ENGA) and Ingo Mayer (BFH) and his team, the students overcame technological challenges and developed innovative material compounds, which were then tested by ENGA. The students' creative and technically sound approach provided a solid foundation for ENGA's future material developments. We would like to thank all the students and the BFH team for their collaboration, and we look forward to continuing this material development.
